The Misanthropy is a web-based literary magazine. Our aim is to celebrate subtle but powerful poetry. We hope to publish work that not only respects but explores both the subjective and objective truths of the human experience. We want poems about culture. We want poems about heartbreak. We want poems about oppression. We want poems about robots. Our issues do not have themes. The more direct rule, though, is this: we will publish exactly what we like and nothing more.

We have released one issue and are in the process of collecting poems for our second. Read our submission guidelines and send us your work.
